How Pep Depot collects, uses, protects, and retains personal information, in plain language. Built for Canadian wholesale buyers under PIPEDA and CASL.
Last updated:Pep Depot (pepdepot.st) is a Canadian wholesale supplier of research compounds, sold strictly for laboratory research use. This policy covers every way we handle personal information: on this website, at checkout, over email, and on WhatsApp.
We operate under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws, including Quebec's Law 25 where it applies. Our wholesale model is explained on How Ordering Works; this page covers what happens to your data along the way.
We collect the minimum needed to run a wholesale storefront. Nothing more.

We never use your information to build advertising profiles, and we never sell it. Full stop.
All orders are paid by Interac e-Transfer, moving bank to bank through your own financial institution. Your banking credentials, passwords, and card numbers are never entered on our site and never reach our servers. The only payment record we keep is confirmation that a transfer was received against a specific order number. The full flow is on Paying by Interac e-Transfer.

Transactional email, such as order confirmations and payment instructions, is sent to every buyer because your order requires it. Marketing email is different: under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), we send it only with your express consent, every message identifies us, and every message carries a working unsubscribe link. Opting out takes one click and takes effect promptly.
WhatsApp is our primary support channel. Messages you send us there are also processed by WhatsApp and its parent company Meta under their own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control. Message content between us is end-to-end encrypted in transit.
Practical guidance: send us your order number, compound names, and lot numbers freely. Never send banking credentials or passwords over WhatsApp; we will never ask for them.
We share personal information only with the service providers required to operate the store:
Some providers may store or process data outside Canada, where it is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We hold every provider to contractual confidentiality and security obligations. Beyond this list, we disclose information only where the law requires it, such as a valid court order.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Ever.

When data is no longer needed for these purposes, it is deleted or anonymized.

No system is 100% secure, but our architecture is deliberately built so the most sensitive data, your banking details, never reaches us in the first place.
Pep Depot sells to buyers 18 years of age or older, purchasing for laboratory research purposes. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
When we update this policy, the date in the header above changes and material revisions are posted on this page. Continued use of the site after a revision means the updated policy applies.
